Update on the construction of Farmer Boys new location at the corner of Civic Center and North Las Vegas Blvd. in North Las Vegas. The soil in this area is very fine and easily blows away. It forms a crust like surface with a little water and undisturbed, it will stay like that for a long time. With all the traffic on the site the surface is returned to powder. A water truck must spray down the site each day to keep the dust under control. The contractor dug a trench along the side of the sidewalk. This was for the benefit of the city. They required Farmer Boys to put in an electrical conduit in case the city needs to install or upgrade traffic controls in the future. The main electrical boxes have been install and further progress has been made on the various behind the wall systems. The Door jams are going in and the Window are getting installed. The windows use insulated double pane glass to control heat.
